Electric Bikes

Here at The London Bicycle Repair Shop we are happy to carry on repairs linked to the mechanical parts of the electrical bikes. However even though we do have experience in carrying on such a repairs we do not take any responsibilities about any faults, etc. during and after the repairs have been finished.

What counts as an EAPC (electrical assisted pedal cycles)

An EAPC must have pedals that can be used to propel it.

It must show either:

the power output

the manufacturer of the motor

It must also show either:

the battery’s voltage

the maximum speed of the bike

Its electric motor:

must have a maximum power output of 250 watts

should not be able to propel the bike when it’s travelling more than 15.5mph

We also reserve the rights to refuse to carry on any repairs if the bike does not complied with the law or if we assess that the bike is unsafe(selfmade bikes ,bikes with engine bigger then 250w fitted throttle etc.)
